We are pleased to introduce the Oro Grande School District Instructional Coordinating Team. Our purpose is to support the instructional program by monitoring the instructional design and strategies to create an environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential. We each bring our own personality and areas of interest and expertise, and we aim to provide the best possible assistance for teachers, administrators and support staff in serving our students. Please contact any member of the team for coaching support, instructional and class management resources, and any other professional needs!

I am passionate about education, a Google fanatic and lifelong learner. I began my career as a 5th grade teacher in 2000. I have taught 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grades. After receiving my masters in Ed. Leadership, I stepped outside the classroom to serve teachers as an instructional coach and Migrant Academy Principal. The scope of my experience and expertise has been centered around working with MTSS, PBIS, RtI, Language Learners and Differentiated Instruction. I am so excited to continue my educational journey with OGSD and support teachers in professional development, sharing best practices, improving instructional strategies and fostering relationships. I am here to support you through your journey in education. Outside of work, I serve as a board member for CapCUE. You can find my family on the weekends at the basketball and volleyball courts watching my children living their passion.

I look forward to enjoying the fruit of our individual and collective labor as we support children by providing equitable, engaging and enriching learning environments. I come to OGSD with 20 years of education experience, having begun as a substitute teacher. I taught 3rd and 4th grades, served as a site PBIS lead, after school program coordinator, restorative practices facilitator, and teacher in charge. In 2018, I transitioned from teaching to TOSA as the CTI induction agency representative for my previous district. I grew a love and passion for coaching and facilitating teacher-led professional development focused on equity, education technology, and classroom management. I am here to support you individually to bring out your unique teaching gifts and talents. I am also here to support you as a group in the PLC process to identify the areas in which we can best support our students. My first loves are my husband, two adult daughters, and my family. On the weekends I spend time with them enjoying sports, travel, food and anything outdoors.

I am honored to be part of a caring family of the Oro Grande School District. I have over 30 years of contributing to a positive social change of students through innovative and relevant education experiences that address their academic and socio-emotional needs.
I started my education career overseas as a high school Geography and English teacher, and as a Geography national examiner. On moving to the U.S, I transitioned to become a Special Education teacher, later a teacher Onboarding Coach, and a Teacher Induction Coach for my previous district of employment. I am also a University Supervisor who delights in supporting aspiring educators in sharpening and equipping themselves with essential skills in the teaching profession.
I am here to collegially and collaboratively work with educators to transform our professional practices to make learning accessible to all students and to improve student academic outcomes.
I am passionate about innovative and effective teaching and assessment strategies. I have contributed articles to a book chapter and a journal on these concepts. My research area of interest is in making learning accessible to all learners.
I am a mother of two adult daughters. My hobbies are international travel, both for academic purposes and for leisure. I am a sports fan. I love track and field, soccer, football, and rugby.

I am a lifelong learner who believes in servant leadership and has a passion for education.
After 20 years of working for the Target Corporation, I began my career in education as a 5th grade teacher at Riverside Prep Elementary in 2014. I transitioned a year later to the middle school side as a 6th grade teacher. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with staff and students from both campuses.
I am honored to work at a school site that serves both the Oro Grande and the High Desert communities. While serving as a 6th grade teacher, I was able to participate in OGSD School Site Council, curriculum adoption, SST coordination, and supporting English Learners.
After I received my master’s in education, I became interested in broadening my scope of influence outside of the classroom. Now I am excited to follow that interest into serving the school community here at RPMS as an instructional coordinator. This position serves as an important step in my continued educational journey. I want to bring the knowledge and experience I have to support all professional development and help build a solid community for OGSD.
This year, our goal is to support the PLC process by using data driven, teacher led, and research based strategies in order to serve our district’s goal of “Educating all students to become successful adults.” After raising our two sons to adulthood, my wife and I enjoy spending our time serving the staff and students here at OGSD. We also find enjoyment in watching movies and keeping up with our sons’ adventures.
